Washington State Governor Jay Inslee Unveils Carbon Reduction Plan

The west coast appears to be moving towards cap and trade legislation as a means to build in the cost of CO2 pollution into our energy production prices.   This has the potential to more quickly level the playing field for innovative renewable energy, energy efficiency technologies, and smart grid technologies.   California has been live with cap and trade since 2013, generating $600 million for the state as well.

Washington State is pushing hard to make this happen, in part driven by strong leadership by Gov. Jay Inslee.
