Host of Oregon Cyber Resilience Summit Panel on Cyber Job Opportunities
As you might expect, the 2020 version of Oregon Cyber Resilience Summit hosted by the University of Oregon and Technology Association of Oregon was completely virtual. But that didn’t stop the organizers from pulling together a comprehensive program that included keynotes and breakout sessions.
For my part, I moderated one of the breakout tracks for the entire day, and I was tapped to moderate a panel discussion on “Job Opportunities in Cyber Security.” Needless to say, with over 500,000 national job openings in cyber, there are plenty of opportunities on tap. Joining me on the panel were Michele Beynet Roering, director of IT for the Slocum Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine; Annalise Famiglietti, deputy CIO for the State of Oregon; and Kerri Fry, SVP and COO at IGNW. We had a lively discussion and I had a lot of fun serving as host.
